Not Quite Thomas

This little fella has found a home at a demolition yard. My concern is what the background is like and how I can improve this shot.

if you choose the same angle, one could shoot a few shots to expose for the sky and combine them in PS.

I like the subject - great shapes.

There does appear to be a bit of clutter in the background, I'm not sure if you could shoot from the other side to avoid the truck on the left and try and hide the shed on the right?

Obviously the sky is blown and there isn't much you can do about that, but I think you could probably increase the contrast by playing with curves at the other end of the scale - particularly on the train with its interesting texture.
