Pic From The Track With 80-400VR
Hi All, well took the 80-400vr to the track yesterday and well arm was a bit sore walking around with it most of the day, after i finished work yesterday morning that is.
i have noticed in some pics that there is a lot of noise in certain partslike on bike 10 on th etank infront of the riders chest in the dark area's it is very noisey for some reason, this seems to be on a lot of the pics i took in the dark bits there is noise. Anyhow here is a few pics.

HI Jonesy, Actually i was thinkin that and seems i thought it was on 200 but just went and looked and yeh bloody thing was on 400, damn i really need to check things as same while playing with the 80-400VR turned the lens on to limit and wondered why i couldn't focus on something a bit further away, forgot to swith it back to full.

Nice action pics, great to see the riders' face on #56, didn't notice the noise at all... Have they been sharpened/USM'ed at all? Just curious... I think the "limit" function is supposed to "quicken" the focus according to the manual (p16)... Great zoom though huh? Oh, re: the weight, get a pro-loop strap. It's amazing but it doesn't seem anywhere near as heavy with that, rather than the default Nikon strap... They're well worth it. Cheers, Mudder Aka Andrew
Yes Mudder, they have a bit off USM on 2 of them and the smaller pics is a bit hard to tell but yeh it's my fault for not checking the iso as i normally leave it on 200 i must have changed it and didnt check it.

BBJ - you certainly have got the hang of that lens quickly - nice panning, nice and sharp but with a hint of speed in the wheels - keep em comin’
