300mm F4.5 ID ED macro

This shot was taken with the 300mm lens and a small extension tube. It allowed me to work about 15 feet away from the subject.

Gorgeous colours Matt. So nice to see such a vivid green against the starkness of the browns that we see everyday in this time of drought.

The lens is fantastic and quite amazing that you get this level of detail at that distance.

Yes. It's rather strange doing macro work from 15 feet away but I can see that there might be a few very creative uses for this sort shooting.
