We went to the south coast for the weekend, although the weather wasn't too impressive (and a blackout didn't help).

Unfortunately, I missed the best of the light.

Here are some pics, PP'ed a bit to try to increase the intensity of the clouds in the first pic. (I am not overly happy with the PP work).

With this one, I tried to use the flash to darken the sky, although didn't get the result I wanted. I reduced the contrast a bit in PS.

C&C welcome.

I love the last one.
Great treatment...Works really well for me.

Patrick

That first image is well worth tinkering with a litttle more to fix the odd green colour cast it has (try adjusting colour balance in PS to emphasise the magenta to drop the green). While the other too also have a slight cast to them as well it's not as noticeable. I like #3 too

Thanks for the feedback, Peter.

I have reworked it a bit, although, firstly, I don't know if my monitor is appropriately calibrated, and secondly, I don't know if my eye is appropriately calibrated.

Let me know what you think.

Did I go too far the other way?

Patrick - you've nailed it perfectly with the retry.

And definietly get your monitor calibrated. It makes things much less hit and miss.

That second attempt is much better IMO. A nice shot, I like.
