Insect Macro

I dug up these macro shots from some time ago.

All taken with the Sigma 105, SB-800, handheld.

Can anyone tell me what the first insect is? Some sort of fly?

It has 6 legs so is an insect, that's the limit of my insect knowledge. Great macros here, very enjoyable. Max.

bloody awesome shots!

...lens lust :( cant wait till i can afford a dedicated macro lens...

but yeh, love the photos. have they been cropped at all, or sharpened much for that matter?

I think they've all been slightly cropped + a small amount of sharpening after resizing for web.
