Chain

This image seems to be devoid of any dynamic. It has a very calming effect on me. When flicking through my photos I always pause on this one...

Thought I share it.

Steffen,

I love it, simple & clean

You probably won't get many comments on this one, they are a pretty conservative lot here.

Mic.

Nice, keeping it simple as it is. :)

What about a little more dynamic in the lighting? be much more eye catching of that ;)

Great composition.
I agree. Very calming. I would be quite happy if I could achieve such a result.

If anything (and probably not!) I would try LESS light, and have the chain in full silhouette.

Nice one Steffen. It's the bokeh that does it ;) What lens?

I agree with Des.. the bokeh is very sweet, and the chain provides a strong contrasting subject to the creamy bokeh.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. I have a more silhouette-like version as well, but somehow I liked a little bit of detail in the chain better.

The lens was the 180mm f/2.8, shot at f/4.

Cheers
Steffen.

This would look very interesting as a triptych of varying hues

Quite calming indeed. For me a little niggling in that the colours are not my favourites so I keep thinking "pink blob!"
