I was attending a conference at 1 Martin Place in Sydney, and on my way to the venue I had to cross a footbridge across a huge hall, made from a fusion of old and new architecture, spanned by a glass roof. I hadn't seen this from the inside before, and was mightily impressed.

It was a rainy day, and the light entering through the roof was bleak but fairly even. So I took these fish-eye shots. One to the right and the other to the left of the bridge I was standing on:

Wow, i didn't know this place existed :) A bit like the shot-tower inside that other ugly building in Melbourne.

It certainly makes for an interesting contrast.

Great stuff, I've in there before and had the idea of shooting this, but didnt have the camera with me... hehe

Quite a few of Sydney's building a joint in this way. I believe the one in 24 York & 363 George St does this as well, but not in a very elegant way as 1 Market St.

If I remember correctly, I entered through the hotel lobby (The Westin), took the lift up two or three floors, then followed the signs to Barnet Room 2... On the way there I had to cross this bridge...

I've been on that bridge as well (setting up a conference) I wished I'd had the camera with me, but didn't have the wonderous FE to capture it in all its glory.
