Hi all, not sure if you remember my previous series of oil painting called 'the masters'. (link here: http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?p=263334&highlight=#263334)
Well, this is an image that didn't make the cut but I loved it so much I am in the process of adding one more image to the set.

So here it is, about an hour so far tonight. I'd love some feedback, good or bad I can take it

Remember, it's renaisance oil painting style I'm after....

the lighting on this one is more fashionable
but i think what makes it is the flow of the hair

but i see why it didnt make the cut with your concept
it's too modern for the others

but i love the yellow top and all the other tones
it makes you want to lick it

Exactly, the other series were all dark and moody, the yellow didn't work with them.

RE: the D&G campaign we were very happy to see it in the recent Italian Vogue the other day. We had no idea of its existance when we did our shoot but it re-enforced we were doing the right thing and heading in the right direction, though, I have to say, theirs @#$#'s all over ours

We'll get there though...

Rob - love it but as I scrolled up I cut the pic just above the end of her arms and it seemed to me to have more impact

I detect some very subtle colour tweaking going on in that image....and it's very effective. Would a touch of canvas texture add to the painterly affect?

Matt have you been indulging in the Christmas cheer to much as I can already see the canvas texture Rob has added to the shot (and it adds to the shot nicely) or have I been drinking
Great shot Rob but as noted it doesn't fit with the originals as the dress is too modern
