I like a few others here recieved a D200 as a Xmas present, Santa was also kind enough to provide a Lightsphere and also a 18-200 (yet to be used). Any ways it seems tradition almost to post some shots just to prove yes I have a new camera so here is the obligatory, I've got a D200 yay post!

#1 First my cousin Nathan, well and truely sick of my and my cameras by the end of Boxing Day...

#2 His Dad, Uncle Jim enjoying the warm weather.

#3 The lovely texture of an old tombstone.

#4 A Rose (had to poke the camera through a fence)

Thoughts and feedback welcome, those that helped Santa compile her I mean his list THANK YOU very much!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8)

Ho ho ho! happy Christmas! I'm glad Santa gave you such a big gift! You must have been an extremely good well behaved person this year :)
Was it the real Santa, or did you bribe Santa with the cost of the D200 :)

Was the 2nd picture taken also using the lightsphere - do you use the dome with it?

Yeah I was using the lightsphere and most of the time with the dome (when outside), not always pointing at the subject I mixed it up a little.

Santa was well informed on what I'd like if he could afford it.

So Craig, how many shots have you fired off in the last few days, i find myself chasing our three dogs to the point where they dont run anymore.

It is such a nice camera. I found and am still finding a big step up from the d70 but i am absolutly loving the 5FPS and the shutter noise.

Another lucky one....

I'm loving the camera but I've been very restrained I think I haven't even broken the 100 shot count yet, It is a big step up from the d70, which I never truely mastered... This time I'm trying to understand the camera a little more so I don't develop bad habits like I did with the d70.

Nice shots Craig - lovely detail, exposure and DOF.

Looks like you have mastered that new weapon already.

I was a good boy but I didn't get a D200  Maybe next year  8)

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

At the time most of these were taken I think I was still trying to find out how to get it out of P mode into A or S mode.. :P

Still got a long way to go, but credit to the camera it seems to know what its doing even if I don't!
