Here is a quick one from the storm last night...note the people fishing on the wharf, without a care in the world...
Taken down at the new area of Port Adelaide.

Awesome shot Big V!!!!

Love the Color around the Lightning Bolt!!.

Yeah, those fishing rods would make nice lightning poles methinks. :) At least if they werent catching anything it would have made for a great show... :)

MHD, sure was.. There was a guy watching from his balcony to my left and he was calling me crazy being out in the open photographing the storm.. he changed his tune when I pointed out that he was higher than me and leaning on a metal rail :)

Hehe, me and my shooting partner had the pleasure of doing a few shots under a tree :) As unlucky as it would be, being struck by lightning while photographing wouldn't be a bad way to go actually - almost Irwin-esque. Great shots as I said in the other thread, its reassuring to know there are other crazy photographers out there.

EDIT: Great, we broke Smugmug :(

Ronza, as long as you get the shot, then it is all worthwhile - I imagine a shot like that would definately get you published :)

There sure are more of us crazy photographers out there, I spent most of the 6 hours we were shooting squeezed into the back of a 4WD with Shaunus when the strikes started getting close, not sure if I'm ready to be taken out by lightning just yet though, have still got much better pics I want to still get of it
