In Adelaide for Christmas.

A great summer storm happened for most of the night. As already captured in a couple of threads by various people, I decided o try for my first time at capturing some lightning also.

Both shots were taken with the D50, kit lens. Camera on Bulb setting, triggered with the Infra-red control.

Straight out of the camera (resized for the WEB) - around 35 seconds

My brother and I played in Photoshop with the second and quickly came up with

They were taken outside mum and dad's house. I took som from the middle of the road, but these were taken under their front verandah.

I think it made for a better shot, the fact that the street light outside isn't working.

If you consider lightning as "living" this would have made an exceptional shot for Stella by Streetlight

You could crop some of the right side and still have a great shot IMHO,
