well, not really This is Sextius virescens, or the green treehopper They feed on the sap of plants (in this case an Acacia) and are actively attended to (and protected by) ants. The ants keep predators away, and 'look after' the hopper, and as a 'reward' get to eat any sugary excrement produced by the bug The ant at the rear end is waiting for the sugary treat
