Me playing with my new toys 18-200VR and D200, trying to capture movement and seeing what I can and can't hand hold. (Overall I'm impressed by the equipment but I'm in need of plenty of pratice).

Thanks for the feedback the RHS of the train shot has been bothering me so I tried a crop, but I'm not convince it fixed it.

maybe just crop out the phone box rather than the pole that joins onto the arch. now the arch looks like it's floating there.

Craig , agree with Piro crop the telephone box only.

But how do you find the 18-200 on the D200. Is the quality better than the Kit lens?

These shots look good, I have the 24-120VR and the kit lens and would look at replacing both of these with the 18-200Vr.

Thanks for the feedback I'll put the poll back in.

18-200 wise, I'm very happy so far, it seems sharpen enough for me (not like the 80-200 is) but then that isn't what I'm expecting, but I'm happy to consider selling my kit lens and 70-300 and just keep this one to cover both ranges. The fact it has VR, which so far has worked very well it also an added bonus. My experience so far has lead me to believe I'll be more then covered with this and the 10-20 (and maybe the 50 1.4) for the europe trip come June / July.

Good work Craig - #2 and #3 for me too. #1 is just a bit boring compositionally to work I think.

VR is something I miss, having no VR anymore
