Hi All
I found this guy while out for a walk the other afternoon.
He was quite happy for me to move his rock to get him out of the shade.

Hi Gunn

I think the harsh lighting in this shot let you down a little bit, with the features on the lizard getting washed out. Does your fuji camera have spot metering. If it does then this could have helped you out in these conditions. Shame about the light as the lizard was posing nicely for you. Bad light is a curse. :(

in this applicatin, I like the harsh light, it provides sharp contrast to the detail of the creatures skin/scales (excuse my lack of knowedge here).

Considering, you moved him out of the shade, I think its nice.

Naturally some ideal world portraiture lighting comes to mind, but if I put myself in your shoes, it can be a spare of the momoent thing, you dont know when he/she will scatter, so you hav to work with what you have.

I like it, and thanks for sharing.
