Photoshop experimentation

I love it. Can't for the life of me figure out how you did it, where you were when you took the shot, and that to me is what makes it fantastic.

Thanks for the comment, I don't know if I should spoil it then :).

It was taken in Botany Bay. The buildings on the right hand side of the world are the cranes at Port Botany, Kurnell is in the lower left.

The technique is deceptively simple: make a 360 degree panorama, flip 180 degrees, then use Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates. The difficulty lies in creating a flawless panorama, because any distortion will throw the entire thing badly out of alignment, as you can see in a few places.

Its creates a pretty good effect. I got to open photoshop to give it a try. Thanks for the explanation
