Is it with the TC or non TC?
I'm sure you do better than those pics at tomorrow. Today is just your practice day and tomorrow will your show day. Hope I'll have a nice print of them from you soon.

I was quite lucky, I had the evening sun shining on them.
I will take more photos tomorrow.
Flight Lieutemamt Benjamin Cartwright, Roulette 7,
responded to my query; they are going to be over Lake Burkey Griffin tomorrow at 12:00

Jets, awesome.
I still remember when the crowd on the balcony of the High Court took a dive.
It looked as if one aircraft was coming in too close, people ducked !

christiand wrote:Hi Rusty,
I was using a 70-200 2.8 VR.
It was j u s t quick enough to auto focus.
However I may have to change my strategy when attempting those shots.
Tomorrow I will try these settings:
changeing the autofocus area to Dynamic area
keeping the autofocus to continuous and having the focus lock applied.
(so if the D70 is set to autofocus single area, you don't accidently move the focus are away from the center to the or a fringe sensor !)
That's what happened today and I "lost" a number of shots.
Unless you have a very quick focussing system you my need to revise your strategy and try to manually outsmart the situation.
The "Silent Wave" focussing lenses are fast.
