Here's a photo I took for a recent family portrait shoot. I particularly liked the B&W conversion and found that the tan marks from her bikini weren't so obvious int he B&W one. C&C welcomed:

Great work Geoff. Having seen the colour, this is much better.

Nice shot Geoff.

This would also work well with a tighter crop to a portrait - cropped just above the girls top.

The B&W loks good - on my work monitor it does appear to need just a little more contrast.

Well done Geoff

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

I really like it. I like the old rusty pipe, a simple set/prop. DOF is great. Contrast works well, dare I say it, the horizon bothers me a tad, however, doesnt take anything away from a great portrait.

Thanks for the comments and critique guys, it's what helps make us all better. This is one of the most enjoyable family portrait shoots I've done yet. The family were so easy going and it was good fun. They even thanked me at the end of it for making it 'so much fun' which made it all the more worthwhile! Here's another one, this time of the two sisters:

I find the horizon line between the eye lines off putting. Otherwise excellent.
