Just emerged - these guys bury themselved under the dirt until conditions are right for breeding, or they just want a feed :) This little one obviously thought he'd stick his head out and see what was going on - explains why he is covered in sand :)

Rel, without your beautiful nature posts and macro's this forum wouldn't be the same. Another pearler. Love the catch light in this guy's eyes!

And again what Geof said.
You do work in the right arena for them too.

Great stuff Rel. Out of interest - Did you bounce the flash off something above the frog or just use an off camera flash?

This guy blends into the Background nicely, with those huge eyes just setting the shot off.

Thank you everyone  , you really know how to make my day huh? :) Geoff - you sure know how to embarrass a girl :)

Willy wombat - I used the Nikon 105 ( as usual) with the SB800 set to GN at 2metres, with the PJLightsphere and diffusion dome - the flash head was set pointing at the frog (not up)...... then my usual settings of f22, iso 200 @ 1/320 and exposure bias of -0.33

Hugs
Rel :)

Beautiful work Narelle. In other words, your usual standard.
