The lens that is...

There is nothing particularly interesting about this image. Just wanted to tell you that I LOVE this new (used) lens I bought - Nikkor 20-35 f2.8D IF.

This photo had no adjustments at all, not even USM. Colous straight out of the camera with no in-camera sharpening. I think I may be in love as much with this lens as I am with 50 f1.4. The focus is lightening fast too, even on D70.

lets see a 100% crop to see just how sharp it is
what are you stopping it down to?

They are excellent lenses. If they have one fault it is that it's difficult to throw the background out of focus.
