The fly had been feeding on some rotting fruit, and had regurgitated a small droplet ..... the water droplet did a great job of magnifying the mouthparts of the fly for me

All my macro shots are taken with the Nikon 105 2.8 micro lens, SB800, PJLightsphere and diffusion dome

- this shot has been cropped, but not toooo much

Just lucky to get the angle right for the magnification of the droplet to have an effect !! Pretty arsy really

(but I'm not complaining

)
