This place was quite mind blowing to see the turn over of fish that occurs on a daily basis and the freshness of stock on offer. A bleary eyed wombat was up at 4am to see the tuna auction.

Steve great pictures, i notice these are not fresh but frozen but would be good to see and these are good. Well done i like them all.

There were two rooms. One with fresh and one with frozen. See my other post on death of a tuna for some pics of the fresh stuff. The fish in this room are frozen down to minus 60 degrees celcius as soon as they are gutted, and are considered by many Japanese "in the know" to be superior to fresh stuff?

Great story pictorial here, the Japanese eat fish breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would too if I could afford it!
