Here is another couple of photos from Birdland in Batemans Bay. They really are interesting birds and very intimidating up close. I hope you like these, the first is my favourite but I also really like the twist in the neck, its crazy.

The first one is great. Can i see your reflection in it's huge eyeball? Did you know the emu's eyeball is bigger than it's brain?

Great shots Craig. Love the detail and DOF. You had some interesting madels down there hey.

These birds all appear to have an alfalfa style going (the topnotch).

Well done.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Well done Craig,
I like the twist in the neck of the second shot, but just love the sharpness and clarity of number one.

BTW these are Ostrich. They have the “dumb” look, as apposed the not so dumb look of the Emu.

And they also have a small brain as well. An interesting fact is that if you are being pestered by these animals if you put your hand up in the air and make it like an Ostrich / Emu beak then you can keep these pecking buggers at bay. That is as long as your hand ends up being higher than their head.
