Found a blue tongue in the back garden. Almost trod on him actually as I was going outside to do a few flower macros.

Finally making his escape with his prize:

I didn't even know they ate strawberries :) I had a blue-tongue in my garden and was happy for it to be there so it could eat the snails that were eating my strawberries. Now i know the snails weren't the problem :)

John

A great set of images - I like the colour, composition and sharpness of these and while I doubt it was an artistic decision to feed him a strawberry the colour contrast of the red fruit really adds zing to the images.

Thanks Steve, leigh, Peter and Rel for the comments.

Steve, they certainly love strawberries. This guy dragged away one strawberry but didn't come back for a second one I left out for him. Must have been too much of a good thing.

You're right Peter, it wasn't so much an artistic decision to feed him a strawberry, more of how can I get him to hang around decision. When I saw the images with the red with the blue tongue and the skin colours, I thought that works well. I did think the shot with him dragging the strawberry thru the fence was a bit cluttered, but beggars can't be choosers.

Haven't seen him back unfortunately.

John
