A couple from yesterday's walk around the CBD.

I had this Nikon Soft-2 Filter for a long while and didnt get it get much chance to use it, so I left it on all day and see what I can achieve with it. Results are sharp but dreamy, very cool.

Very nice and cool, except for the last one, I can't really connect with it, just doesn't work for me.

Just wondering, does the filter do anything different than softening the images in PP afterwards?

This effect can totally be reproduced in photoshop, tho might require some time and effort to do it. I find the filter tend to blow up the white and any high reflectance surface, retaining detail of those on the mid-tone or darker areas. It is cool to play around, but the process is not reversible in PP if you used the filter on a lens.

Yip, I think these are great shots. I like 1 & 2 the best, although, for 1, I would recommend cropping just below the bottom of the down pipe.

Number 1 is definatley my pick. It looks great, the glow/soft effect really suits it, nice angle too.
I'm not really connecting with the rest.
