Time to head back :-(
Posted: Sat Jan 27, 2007 1:31 pmWe have been fostering a guide dog puppy for the last 12 months. On Tuesday, she goes back to Guide Dogs NSW to start her training. It's not easy to give them up just when they get to be really good. Just thought I'd share a few photos, one from yesterday in the backyard, a couple from the beach this morning.
Her name is Candy, she is a 14 months old Golden Retriever.

We've done it once before a few years back, as I said, not easy to give them up. In the end it's for a great cause. They either become a guide dog or a pets as therapy if they don't make it as a guide dog. Only 50% of dogs make it as a guide dog. The first one made it as a guide dog, not sure if Candy will. She is a great dog but she is not too keen on big trucks, buses, trains.
