Attended my first Indian Wedding and it was quiet the cultural experience, I thought I'd share two shots of the bride, I took so many photos that its hard to pick which to share. Very challenging conditions, with mixed lighting, a lot of dark spots, and smoke from the fire on the stage (I found flash and smoke dont' mix well).

Usually not one to bump my own posts, but I had been hoping for some form of feedback, good or bad.

Craig, both great shots, the 2nd one she looks somewhat pissed that you're taking her photo. They are both well cropped/framed. I'd like to see some more colour saturation in them. On my monitor they look a little flat. What PPing (if any) have you applied to these?

No PP, (that I can remember , and if I did any I may of saved them in the wrong colour space.. (I regularly forget).

One of the things I didn't realise about the wedding, is that the bride has to act, shy and very timid for 90% of the ceremony.. so you don't actually see her smile to right at the end.

I'd have liked to seen them from the other side of her face personally. I find her nose ring just takes a little away from her beauty from this side rather than add. It dominates that side of her mouth (and thus smile) to me.

I also agree with Geoff, they do look a little flat on my monitor as well.

Would love to see any others you have, Indian weddings are just so colourful and they really do put our western efforts to shame from that point of view!

The first one is really nice. The second lacks a bit because her expression isn't as flattering, and the stuff in the b/g above and to the left of her head is a bit distracting, whereas in the first shot you have filled the frame better.

Did you get any wide shots of the room?
