Housefly macro wallpaper

Greetings!

Another day, another housefly macro! :cough:

The way this was shot, I thought it would do good as a desktop wallpaper.

The sample image below is sized at 640x480 (for those with very primitive machines!!).

I made the wallpaper in following sizes (obviously, larger images have more detail):

1024x768

1600x1200

There's one more shot I took of the same fly though from the other side. It can be seen here. Warning! Large file because it's a crop of the original image (2369x1578).

damn f16 and there are still some OOF parts.

you used a tripod with this shot?

i like it, though i don't think i will use it as a wallpaper, i will keep thinking i have a fly on my monitor ;)

Thanks mate!

As for some areas being out-of-focus, I think that's because of the focal length of 210mm. I was feeling too lazy to remove the teleconverter and try again! 105mm might have had some more area in focus. I shot this hand held.
