The common bluetail, Ischnura heterosticta

Often seen hunting low over water, and rests often on floating vegetation and on dense vegetation on surrounding banks - this little one is pretty easy to get ... :)

The red and blue damsel, Xanthagrion erythroneurum

Found between October and May, usually seen skimming restlessly low over water, rarely perching (and when it does, I was there to pounce LOL - this one drove me nuts - every time I tried to creep near, she was off, usually putting 2 metres between me and her)

Hugs
Rel

Nice, It's interesting how mechanical some insects can look. And I know how fast these things are, great shot!

Nice capture. Care to share your technique? Was any flash used?
