I've tried photographing Lorikeets and because of the leaves, light and the fact that lorikeets move around a bit, getting a good photo is extremely difficult.
Ozimax, you have taken a really good photograph there. If you could have just nailed the birds eyes a teeny little bit more in terms of focus and sharpness, I recon your photo might have been a fraction better.

It's not a world beating photo but I do like the "pose" of the bird and the fact that he stayed still for a few seconds!

Hope he did not eat to many of your pomme fruit. (Apple or Pear?)
It is great that he sat still for you.

Apple tree Colin, actually my wife tried stewing some of them (the apples not the birds) but they were ... yuck, not much chop! I think the lorikeets would have tasted better than the apples!
