More stuff to drown you out.
I must say the 70-200 is far too quick at focus on closest subject. I had some absolutely brilliant shots destroyed by spray of the rocks in front of me. lesson learnt, use manual focus only when in this position and conditions. SHIT! Ah well thats photography!

Guess it's the way of things, I'll just be blunt have a play with levels/curves in Photoshop (or Gimp) with these I had a quick go and liked the results. These are great shots they'd just benefit from alittle post processing imho, especially if you want good positive feedback.

Hey jethro you can toggle the lock on of autofocus to be longer or shorter with the D200 and D2x - not sure about the others... this should help intermitant splashes to not be an issue.

Otherwise I guess the good option is to use the toggle switches on the side of the 70-200VR to eliminate focusing on anything that is not beyond several metres.
