After some proding from one of my cohorts, here are some (more) hot air ballooning shots. I know there have been a few around lately so why not add to the collection.

As always, C&C welcome.

Cheers.

Love the 3rd one - Beautiful with the animals running along underneath the balloon. The sun at the top of the pic is a little bright though.

i really like the second one as the balloon is a silhouette. Maybe you could try removing the horizon and little bit of the clouds as well. Also is that a jet in the distant background or dust speck ?

Have to agree about the sun. Time to learn my way around photoshop I think and see if I can drag some details out of there.

Cheers!

Will experiment with losing the horizon. I liked it, but I see where you're coming from.

The speck is actually a camera believe it or not! They had little P&S camera's hung off the side of each balloon and the pilot had the infared remote. During the flight they took 10-15 shots of us all, some posed some not, all sitting in the basket. Pretty clever, but I think I'll have a go at cloning it out.

Thanks.

The lighter one are Zebra, the darker ones are Wildebeast. This was during the annual migration so their were literally millions of them on the plains.

Cheers.

#3 is really cool, but I think it could look even better with some PP.

I would bring the foreground and balloon out a little more and salvage as much detail in the sky as you can.

Cheers

Cohort now... well I'm glad you finally posted his Jon, looks like I'm not the only fan of these shots, but I'd like to see you push the PP in the 3rd one and see if you can make an awesome shot magnificent!

The first shot is one of, if not the best flame shot I've seen.. its damn sexy.

You still haven't posted my favourite either :P

It's not often anything I do gets called sexy...

I'm thinking the third one is a good op to finally learn some photoshop, I'd be ready to be pestered about that if I was you!!!

EDIT: I'll put put your favourite up tomorrow...

I prefer #1 Dawsey. It will be good to see the results of your pp work when you are happy with them.
