I took the bait and made the effort to shoot the QM2 experience. I wasn't all that happy, and felt rushed a lot, but thought I'd share the experience anyhow.

High ISO earlyness - failure...

300 + 1.7TC plus several kms of distance... would you believe this combo is so sharp I still had the beginnings of moire! Amazing

Where I got most enjoyment was shooting people watching:

Great photos.

#2 is the standout for me. Colours in #2 are just great.

Well done!

Having waited until all had posted their QE2 pictures, I must say that number 2 is the best that I have seen. Well done, this picture not only has great colours but also shows the size of this amazing vessel.
Thanks for posting

I wouldn't call #1 a failure. It may not be a technically correct photograph but it is an evocative image. The magical appearance of the mystical QE2... Almost like a shot out of a Terry Gillam movie...

Cheers
Steffen.

Thanks all for the generous comments. Here is one that I've pped to get rid of the pre-sun grey tone a little. Posting just for the sake of showing the size!

Last one is excellent, it really shows how friggen huge it is, since we are all used to how big the bridge is. Nice work on the PP too, doesn't look like morning at all.
