It is posing nicely isnt it...good shots....you have managed to make the bee stand out from the flower very well...

but...how do you know its a young bee?

Good one Glen, but I didn't get that close. It's so much smaller than the others in the yard that I'm assuming it's young.

Hey Al - nice shots

But it isn't a bee - this is a syrphid, or hover fly

No wonder it looks a bit different from the bees in your yard
