I was bored, so thumbing through photos and found this one, which is very ordinary.. but I thought I might try to introduce noise by "developing" it at the wrong exposure..

well I got a bit carried away and ended up with this.. (so the only tweaking I've done is in ACR... anyways personally I don't mind the affect now.. it was purely accidental.. but I like it.. (its more on the side of digital art now.. but please let me know what you think.

Edit : I thought I'd had a second shot.. (yep still bored).

I think the square crop works well for this, frames the subject nicely.

The over exposed look is good. the only thing that irks me is that its not straight.

even if you need to distort it some how to make it straight i think it would look better.
but thats my opinion.

who is he? a stranger or someone you know?
nicely done

Someone I know, a good mate actually.. we were on our way back from the Cricket.. He has actually sent me a edited version that removes the bright edges of his shots.. and just blends them into the darkness under the chair.

The first one

The first one works better for me. It is the type of image I would expect in a billboard with a community message underneath. The second one it comes across a bit sinister and it is maybe because of this that I don’t like it as much. Please keep getting bored!

On the first pic I would do a perspective adjustment in PS and then remove all of the tiling from the wall. Other than that I really like this pic as it reminds me of - expectation :)

Pic 2 is very very sharp but as a photo it does nothing for me :(

#2 has a great feel to it...almost cartoon like....
The nose shadow in the eye spoils it a bit though..
