Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Eiffel Tower, Las Vegas

Hi folks,

I've been lurking for a little while and figured it's time to introduce myself and dip my toe into the water. I'm a keen amateur photographer whose dream is to earn enough from my photos to one day be able to afford that next lens without having to beg the family CFO for the money...

I took this shot while holidaying in Las Vegas a couple of months ago. Go easy on me, but I'm here to learn so your comments are welcome.

Hey there, welcome to the forum.

Nice shot, Vegas is crazy, huh. It's a bit small to see how sharp it is etc, but the gold colour against the deep blue sky is very pleasing. :)

Post some more shots from your trip!

P.S. Your nickname is great (from someone who is downloading episode 11 as we speak. :D )
Cheers,

macka

Thanks. Vegas is definitely crazy. It's one of those places that far exceeds your expectations. I need to go back one day to see the other half of it!

It's sharp. However, it's quite a large file even at low resolution so I had to keep it small.

One day. They're taking longer than I hoped because I got some dust on the mirror at a very inconvenient time and wasn't able to remove it.
