If you were going for a perplexed look, you nailed it.

The outline on the left side of your face (right side of the photo) looks a little odd.

Steve, love it. Does seem perplexed, which I like, but the real question is "does it get a lot of hits on the dating sites?"

Steve it's always better to wake up before you start taking photos...

Actually, only you and those who know you well could say if this was an accurate self portrait, but for me it looks very realistic and un-fake, if there is such a word.
