I've kept this one separate from my other New Zealand shots since it's just so different stylistically. Personally I like the eerie, almost alien feel to this, but I'd like to see what others have to say - including if you think it's shit - OK.

Peter it is a great shot as it is and I really like it
but for a more menacing/alien look try de-saturating it a lot so that the sky has a steely color to it and add a little more contrast and darken the blue but make sure the pylons in the rear don't get lost in the sky.
there are lots of ways you can edit this one and that shows that it is a great photo to start with
edit: some times it is good the there are lots of clouds in NZ

Love it! VERY sci fi and a nice mix of nature and manmade! Excellent stuff Peter!

Great shot Peter, but I don't think you've nailed the PP as well as you normally do.
Feels a little dark / washed out.
EDIT: Bigger version looks better than the thumb, but still just lacking that final bit of pop for me.

I agree, feels very war of the worlds meancing like.. Huge metal men marching on earth.. on what seems to be a fairly barren place.
Its in my like category, but I'd be interested to see what other PP could do to finish it off.

Peter,
I'll go against the trend, I don't like it.
As a stock photo that could be used in a mag, advert, sure, lots of potential, but as something to put on my wall, doesn't do anything for me.
For me, as it stands, it doesn't have anything to really hold my attention.
Cheers,
Andé

Enough EMR to kill off an army and shows how man destroys the landscape. As a photo it’s OK but as a testament to our stupidity it’s a winner

Thanks for the feedback. My temptation is to do largely what Keith suggests ie drop rather than raise the saturation. I'll play with this again later in the week.

Love. I always like the use of a lot of negative space.

Love it Stubbsy. The wires have to go somewhere, and at least there isn't a kindergarten underneath them (in this shot anyway).
I love electricity.

Peter,
I am on side with André with this one. I find myself thinking "what would I do with this shot?" - most likely a keeper but not something I would print and hang on my wall.
Cheers, Mick
