Half-banded seaperch, Hyperelectrodes maccullochi, at Bare Island.
Comments and criticisms welcome, especially ideas to give it more punch.

Was this diving or snorkling ATJ?
It is a pretty fish either way.

It was SCUBA diving at Bare Island, La Perouse.

I find the purple sponge at the top a little off putting.
I think the colours of the fish are stunning probably would have liked to see the fish a little more side on. The front on pose just seems to dull the colours down.
I am in awe though of how clear the pic is.
