Portfolio shoot on Sunday

One from a shoot I did on Sunday. This was taken with the 5D though I predominantly used the D2Xs for safety's sake in case I messed up the entire shoot with a new camera.

Shot with the 24-105L f4.

I love the quality of the 5D but still prefer how robust the D2 feels.

Hi Wayne,

Just try something for a minute... have a lookat the photo and put your thumb over the bottom left corner. Without that highlight the image is stronger... your eye is not drawn away from the model for no real reason. Otherwise I like the lighting and the pose.

cheers, Ants

G'day Anthony,

Thanks mate :) Sorry I did spot that last night and forgot to clone/crop it out...that's what you get for trying to process at 2 in the morning :)

Cheers,

Wayne

Very nice, Wayne. The only critique I have is that her upper arm (the one closer to camera) appears so much more dominant compared to her face and that spoils it a bit for me, but that's just me. Apart from that, I really like it.

Nice, really nice.

I like the simplicity of the grey background. THe leading lines towards her by the corner/ceiling in the upper right hand side, complemented by framing of her arm, great.

Agree on the crop/clone.

Eye contact is right on! Eyelashes to fall in love with

Part of me says "Healing brush tool - spot" the under arm stuble, but depends on the purpose. If this is a portfolio for her, then I think she would be happy for you to dull it down / clone it out.

Nice shot Wayne, any chance you can post a few more (all be it smaller if you want). I'd love to see a few shots from both cameras ( not many people are in the position to own both). Given I haven't had the pleasure to use a 5D I'd like to see what the fuss is all about.
