There is nothing wrong with 6MP unless you start earning your bread with it. Well, mostly... exception with the D2H that is 4.1MP and many earn their breads with it. And there you go, MP is not a factor to consider about digital cameras.
A 6MP can produce same/better quality results than a 12MP if it lands on the right hands, despite the MP count. Last edited by Yi-P on Tue Mar 06, 2007 8:29 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Strike me pink Jethro, what lens are you using? 1200mm with TC? The last one is a real cracker.
And yes, there's no problem at all with 6mp. I've just done some prints at A1 size no probs at all. Ozi. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Max Im using the 70-200 with the Kenko pro2X. Smoked my pipe as quality is concerned. Iv'e now fully cracked my Manual exposures. Wait for the next round coming shortly.

Jethro,
That's 70-200VR? And if so, were you using VR at the time of these shots? Ozi. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Nice Shots Jethro....
The bird image has some fairly severe JPEG artefaction to me and would sing with a levels adjustment to really brighten the whites. Cheers Ads Please don't use or edit my images.

MAx yes VR was used and Adame unfortunately due to posting restrictions jpeg artifacting did come into play. This was shot raw and if i posted this way which is impossible believe me therr is no artifacting and this image is pristine.
Probably one of my sharpest and defined images Iv'e shot Cheers Jethro shoot it real.

I REALLY struggle with sharp images.......these are sum of the best i have seen ever@!!
Canon EOS 40D
Canon EOS 400D 50mm 1.8 EF
I don't think there's anything wrong with 6mp...
i still use a d70 and produce a lot of paid work with it... no complaints yet. i'd rather not get caught up in the "must buy what's new" entanglement... if it works, why change it. http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
