Attended a small fashion show at a shopping centre tonight. The show was part of the L'Oreal fashion week which is currently happening in Melbourne. These were consumer brans mostly.

The lighting wasn't fantastic so had to rely on flash mostly, hence the shadows.

Fash seems to have washed them out. Next time try bouncing or diffusing the light.

The first two seem a bit washed out but the 3rd is spot on. 4th looks like focus wasn't quite there.

Would have loved to have come but totally forgot about the VIP night.

You got some good eye contact there Alex. Pity about the lighting needing a flash. If you'd let me know I could have come along with my 85/1.4.

The skin tones are great in that last one Alex.
With the first 2 shots, maybe you could have backed the flash off a bit or diffused it a little.
