Lovely Bindii Is this a tree you can revisit??? , I'd say getting 3-4 images of it with different clouds etc.. kind of doing a seasons thing with it would be very cool.

Ummm...yeah it is I suppose...its about 1/2 hr away...

the only problem is that I had to wade out into waist deep water to get the angle I needed for this shot...I guess what I am trying to say is that winter would so be out for me....;)

But its a great idea..I might have a look a little closer to home and see if I can find anoter simliar subject to give that a go...

Alternatively you could cheat using PP, and just change the tones in the background, or even insert a completely different background.

But perhaps a bluey-purple background, and a pinky-yellow background could complete your orange-tobacco like shot here? (just an idea).

Do you mind if I post what I'm thinking in my head, at least a quick and dirty version.. as always if you'd like me to delete the image, I'm more then happy too...

I apologise for the PP skills.

I could perhaps cheat...

but then I would know...and I'd have problems living with myself and stuff..

oh alright...

I could live with cheating...;)

The image is more about the concept then the overal finish..

I actually like the original image as it shows the "true" colours if there's such a thing..
Even though we all adjust our images in one way or another its still an outstanding shot showing the beautiful outline of one of our most precious assets.

No No....leave it up..others will learn from it too...

and love the pinkish and the blue ones - leaning slightly more towards the blue I think...I will have a go at that myself tomorrow!

It was worth the wading to get this Bindii.
It is a lovely shot.

And besides, Paul, what would EnergyPolice say? ;)

Bindi, adding to what Craig suggested, just different times of day - sunset, sunrise, midday ... maybe a full moon shot?

And perhaps the acquisition of a wetsuit might assist as we approach the cooler days?

Or waders.

Fantastic shot Bindii. It has that, 'lone tree on top of a mountain,' feel to it. The clouds in the background look as though they are below the tree, rather than above it.

you know what would be cool is if you could get someone to stand next to the tree or lean on it.

Okay....I got my list prepared...;)

Sunset/sunrise tide book - Check
Wetsuit - Check
A person to stand under tree - Check
A book for person to read - Check

Have I forgotten anything....;)

Seriously though I am so going have to try some of this stuff...while its still summer that is..

So if anyone is hanging about at wellington point and you spy some mad bird wading about in the water with her camera.....its only me...being creative and stuff...*grin*

Oh and thanks for the idea's guys!

G'day

If you can get a person who enjoys reading the tide book, that would reduce your work list a little :)

Cheers

Sorry... but I think it only fair that you suffer for your art... so a winter version of this added to the series would be pretty much a mandatory obligation.

Surely you're not suggesting that Bindi should be faking it? :)

The imported snow is so expensive this time of year, wait a few months and the natural stuff might be available.

...while its still summer that is..

Spend June in Canberra. When you go back to Brissie in July, You'll do that wade in your skin, and still think it's too darn hot
