Had a pleasure to attend a part of the final show of L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival tonight which was an independent (smaller) runway show.

Oh I have just spotted these Alex...very nice...especially considering the lighting that you would have been challenged with...

The second one is my pic...because you can see her feet..and the other girl in the background adds interest as well..:)
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list... ;)

for some reason i like the noise in the shots.
they add a lot of character to the models and an element to the photos that is appealing to me.

Nice composition with the second shot. Looks like lighting was hell for that show :)

It must have been hard with the different colour temperatures all around you. The model's skin looks spot on thought - so congrats.

Thanks guys. Yes, the lighting was by no means great or trivial. My camera's auto (-2) WB setting, which normally works reasonably well, struggled and I had to white balance correct every image from the show. There were various light sources and spot light seemed to have different temperature to background light. At least the fashion was good :-) The lighting was not as bad though as in the CK Jeans show which was a much smaller runway and was set outdoors.
