Finally made it to the Zoo for the first time since our Honeymoon over 4 years ago, and this time I had not 1 but 2 real cameras. This is a shot I took inside one of the walk around avaries, in the wetlands section, can anyone help with an ID ?

Also thanks to JohnD for suggesting the bird show, here is my take on the Wedge Tailed Eagle (love them, beautiful birds).

I also got very close to the resident Sea Eagle. Sadly she was injured so will never be released to the wild.

Exquisite photos! The detail on the first and last is outstanding.

Great shots Craig. Nice detail.
Did you use your 80-200 or something longer?

Cheers
John

That first image is a cracker! Not only is it sharp as a tack...but the bird is also doing something interesting...giving it character...

Both of the other shots are also great....but I still keep going back to the first one..:)

80-200 and Katie used the D70 + 18-200VR, I'm trying to get her to post a great owl photo she took.

Thanks for the comments Bindii, the first is my favourite of the 3 too, probably my favourite of the whole zoo trip.
