One image - 3 treatments and I can't decide which gives the best results. So I figure many heads are better than one...

Give me your views. Thanks.

The green grass is definately NZ.

#3 followed by #1.

But is the grass really greener on the other side :?:

I like the washed out look of #2, matches the subject well :)

Peter, I prefer #3. The colours in #1 look oversaturated to me and #2 not saturated enough. There's no pleasing some people.

Cheers
John

#3 I prefer, like John I feel that 1 is too saturated, and 2 isn't enough.

For some reason the 2nd one stands out to me.

I think something between #1 and #2 would be perfect.

Surely the answer is with you - you were there to see the scene, so ipso facto, you should be able to determine what the pic should look like

#3 for me, by a long shot. 1 and 2 are good in comparison. I like the say the removed color, draws the eye to the detail

I like the b/w version best, it is very complimentary to the geometric nature of the subject. And the conversion you've done there is very nice.

I would definitely straighten the image, though. I personally would also center it to make it symmetrical (but that's just me).

Cheers
Steffen.

No. 1

But, maybe dial down the saturation on the grass a little bit?

No 3 is the pick of these :D

#2, but try bumping up the green a tad. The blues in #1 are just too strong, and offputting.

#3 is great, but I personally prefer this building in colour. :)

I prefer #1, but like has been said perhaps backing off a tad on the grass would be nicer still.

Peter,

#3 for me as well and as mentioned earlier, I also would like to see it evenly balanced, so just trim a bit off the left.

Cheers,

André

Thank you all for your comments so far.

As for the grass in #1 - I must have spent a good 20 minutes playing with the image trying to get just that part of the shot right since it was quite yellow in the raw file. Guess I may have overdone it a little.

I also should mention that #2 had some odd processing - I used Nik Color Efex IR black and white filter on the colour image then faded the effect by about 50% to get the resultant image

#3 is a PSCS quadtone conversion of #1 with some minor adjustments prior to the conversion to bring up the sky

I myself prefer number 1, however toning the saturation down a bit (as already suggested) might look better.

What do you prefer Peter ?
I'll guess....no. 3....?!?!?

Well for those who were wondering - I trully couldn't decide between #1 and #3. I'm more than happy with #3 as originally shown, but have tweaked and recropped (and cloned a little  ) and below is my final version in colour

Thanks everyone for your input.

and for the trully curious - this is the original untouched image out of the camera and converted to jpeg.
