Do you think the lack of detail in this picture works? Would you prefer a closer zoom of the rowers or do you like that they are rowing in a big empty space? Is this image too boring?
Thanks for your comments.
Cheers

nice use of negative space but i think there is too much you need to crop bit more, subject is too small

nice pix........ but have you tried to straighten the rowers and a pano crop, leaving the rowers where they are......

do you mean a vertical pano like this?
Or a horizontal pano?

I like the first/original.
It shows a vast space, provides scale with the subject so insignificant.
I dont see it on a rowing promo, but rather used in marketing a planning solution.
Marketing, like "do you know where you're headed?" Or "are you operating below capacity?"...
I like it, and it works for me.

Sweet. the second pic looks cool, like one of those 'inspirational' posters often seen in the workplace.

perfect ....... lots of space for type and the bottom half tells the story ....... this would also work as a horizontal crop.......

Plenty of ways to crop this one, but I reckon it would make a great stock photo, as BigPix says plenty of room for inspirations slogans etc..
How did you get this shot, I take it you were airbourne ?

I was in a hot air balloon for my birthday in May last year.

I really like the first one, reminded me of a shot I took in San Francisco in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. I had a little fiddle with yours in
PS and probably prefer it with a little more contrast a levels tweak, which then requires a noise filter pass, which went bad because of the lack of megapixels in the original posted pic, but I reckon that would look great on a canvas print...
