#1 - Doesn't do that much for me

#2 Great angle, love just part of the building pointing through.. shame that while the top is straight the bottom isn't, but probably can't do much with that.

#3 Is this blurred in camera ? it's cool, in a arty sort of way.. and I don't mind the selective colour

#4 Nice portrait of Jack the highlights my bother some, but I don't mind them..

Thanks Craig.
#3 was blurred in camera - I wanted to see if I could achieve a motion type feel.

Geoff

#1 - sorry, doesn't work for me the foreground is just too strong and foreshortened.

#2 - interestingly it has a strong forced perspective like #1 yet I like this. Really ominous clouds would have made it a corker, but it's pretty good as is

#3 - Very cerative - I like this and the colour + B & W treatment

#4 - This is a very strong image. Did Jack pose for you or was it a candid? I WOULD have liked the highlights less blown (how's that Craig  ) and suspect you could actually make this better by darkening the background in PP

Thanks for the comments Peter.
I value your thoughts and criticism.
Jack wasn't posing, it was in fact a candid and the blown highlights are a bit off putting I agree.

Will have a go at bettering the image in PP in the near future :)

I love number 4! That's an exhibition quality image. Very arty.

I have to disagree with most on number 4. I really like it, the blown highlights only add to draw my focus to Jack's face, it also really helps to define him and separate him from the background for me, more than the DOF does.

Number 2 I like as well, if it wasn't for the semi-modern sky scraper poking up this would have a completely timeless feel to it, but I still like it immensely.

Number 1 I can't put my finger on, I'm not sure if it is the leading lines taking my eyes straight under the bridge to Blues point Lavender Bay. I must admit the warmth of the morning light gives me a view of the bridge I've not seen before (I used to be going over the bridge as sun rose not looking at it ;)

Number 3, whilst artistic doesn't quite do it for me. I like the look of it and your idea, but I think this is just a personal taste thing for me.

I like the unicycle blur. The colour selection looks grea tin this example.
