Plodding away on some artwork for a client when, suddenly, there was a sound from the street that sounded like a thousand cardboard boxes being dumped.

Grabbed the camera (with 70-200m lens attached) and rushed to the street below.

This is what I saw:

The chap with his head bowed and a hand on his shoulder is the driver - he was not hurt.

Single car accident? Knowing the corner it happened on, I would send the driver away and make him write 1,000 times "my 4WD is not a sports car".

Glen,

Exactly.

Some people seem to think that SUV stanbds for Sports Utility Vehicle.

Sports?

No way: we all know the correct meaning of the TLA is Stupid Ugly Vehicle.

Lucky bugger to get out of it relatively unscathed. Silly bugger too! Good series Christopher.

Great to have a PJ on the spot!

Seems he was quite a lucky chappie to have walked away unscathed.

They have quite a high centre of gravity, those SUVs, and are not really designed for street-rallying.

Come on Chris, 'fess up, you actually placed a banana skin on the road, then hid behind a bush with your camera... :)

^Laughs at Ozimax.^

At least the driver survived the incident, to crash another day.

great shots there! must have added some excitement to your day. That looks like a Nissan X-Trail, not the first time that has happened with those, they are very top heavy...

but that is the sports version of the Nissan X-trail..... can't you see that it has rear wheel steering
I only have the std steering model so mine will roll over on half a banana peel.... I wish I could afford the 4 wheel steer one

A poorly named vehicle if ever I've seen one.

Surely they need to be referred to as the N-Trail.
