Red Droplets

Insomnia produces the strangest urges ...

So I set up a droplet "light box" and my tripod with the 30d and 70-200mm lens approximately 2m from the subject - the bottom of a juice bottle filled with red cordial. Set above was the cordial bottle with a 1mm hole drilled in the neck so that a gentle squeeze produced droplets on demand.

All shots were taken at f/11 1/60 ISO100 manual focus with direct ETTL flash.

C&C appreciated, this is my first attempt at shooting droplets.

Very nice. You've captured some amazing detail in those shots. #2 is my favourite.

Agree with #2, its nice :)

Actually I will crop them all so that the bowl is not showing up.
