Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Sorry folks, but heres a couple of other images from the Motor Festival.
It was great to see the Champ car on the circuit, but for some reason they wouldn't let images be taken from the wall next to the track, so it was a mad dash to the roof of the pit complex for me.
The images are all taken with the Sigma 120-300 on a D2h body.
Conditions were overcast, which has helped produce nice saturated contrasty images.
The racing images are taken at 300mm.
Please feel free to comment!!!
Thanks for looking.
(4 pics is okay right?)

Great contrast, obviously a very good lens, and photographer. The shutter on the D2H series reminds me of the German MG42

Lovely Alan, particularly the close-ups! Looks like the old Lola chassis rather than the new DP01, but I can understand them not sending a new one out with the first race being tomorrow. Did he do a timed lap? I don't see anything on Natsoft but I'd imagine he'd have smashed the lap record if he'd given it some stick.

Thanks for the comments folks. It's been a busy few days, but I'm lucky I can come home for a couple of hours here and there.

Hi Alan
All your shots on the weekend have been good but the Champ car ones I think are the best.
I have only downloaded mine and not really looked at them in detail, things got a bit frantic work wise when we got home but maybe tonight I will find some time.
It was good to catch up.
